Mid Year Camp

The end will change everything. Evil will be eliminated. Righteousness will reign. God’s children will live with him forever.

But the end doesn’t just change things then. We live differently now because of what is coming. The end demands that we love, we trust and we hope differently.

 

Mid Year Camp (MYC) is our most important week of the year! It brings together students from UQ, QUT and the Conservatorium in a week of life-changing fellowship and teaching in God’s Word. Expect the Holy Spirit to inspire, convict and empower you to live life to the glory of our Lord Jesus!

This year our theme is “In the Shadow of the End.” How does what the Bible says about the “last things,” shape the way we live now – our values, our priorities, our longings?

Some say that MYC has the best camp food ever, others say they make friends for life…all we know is that at MYC you’ll hear the words of eternal life!

MYC will be on during week 4 of the winter holidays. This is the final week of the holidays before Semester 2 begins (for both UQ and QUT.) The dates are…

The cost for the week is $295. First year students and International students are entitled to a $15 discount.

Payment may be made by cash or cheque on arrival at MYC (payable to “AFES”), or online by Credit Card through AFES (by following the link in the registration confirmation email.)

 

All meals are provided from Sunday dinner to Friday lunch. You are required to bring the following items…

  • Bible & pen
  • warm clothes
  • bedding (sheets and sleeping bag/blanket/doona etc.)
  • pillow

Additionally, you may like to bring other items to use during free time such as…

  • board games
  • sporting equipment
  • money for bookstall

 

When you register you can request help with transport, and someone will give you a lift to camp.
